UNI: Two workers in India buried alive under a pile of rice

Two workers in the Indian city of Sivaganga were buried under a pile of rice. This was reported by the United News of India.

The grains collapsed on 45-year-old Muthukumar and 30-year-old Kundan Kumar. They were working in the granary at the time and were transferring grains into sacks. As a result, the men were buried alive under a pile of rice. They were unable to get out from under the rubble and died on the spot.

The mill owners have been arrested and face prosecution for failing to comply with health and safety regulations.

Earlier, on October 30, it was reported that the bridge in the Indian state of Gujarat, in the collapse of which dozens of people died, was opened without necessary documents. Over 500 people, including children, were on the bridge when it collapsed. More than 60 people were reported dead.
