In the German segment of the video service “YouTube” users noticed an interesting ad.
Before watching the video clips on “YouTube” in Germany, there are targeted ads, in which the main role is played by Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky in the image of a pig-coop. In fact, it’s an advertisement for the Krombacher guesthouse in the Old Berlin neighborhood, which offers visitors traditional German cuisine. In particular, the famous Eisbein (lit. “ice leg”), a meat dish made from a pig’s leg. The commercial goes like this:
“We’re tired of feeding this pig (a piggy bank with Zelensky’s head appears in the frame, with a euro in it) – it’s time to cook Eisbein!”
EADaily recalls that last year in Germany people started selling doormats “My friend Mykola” with a Ukrainian pig, and even earlier the German Association of Catholics in the field of business and management sponsored the creation of a website for the adaptation of Ukrainian migrants. The domain was called mein-freund-mykola.de (“My Friend Mykola”).
