Prince Harry Explained Why He Didn’t Say Goodbye to the Dying Elizabeth II

CBS: Prince Harry was not taken on the plane that took the family to the dying Elizabeth II

British Prince Harry in an interview with the U.S. channel CBS said that he could not say goodbye to his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, because there was no place for him on the plane, on which the royal family was flying in haste to his deathbed.

Harry himself was in London when news of the 96-year-old queen’s deteriorating health emerged.

“All the family members who lived in Windsor and Ascot jumped on the plane. There were 12, 14, maybe 16 seats on the plane… I wasn’t invited,” he said.

By the time Harry reached Balmoral Castle in Scotland himself, the Queen had passed away.

“I walked into the hall and was greeted by my aunt. She asked if I wanted to see her. I thought about it for maybe five seconds. Decided it was a good idea… went upstairs, took off my jacket and was alone with her for a while,” he revealed.

“I was really happy for her. Because she has completed her life and her husband is waiting for her. They are both buried together,” Harry added.
