Britain Sees Loading Yars ICBMs into Launcher as a Signal to West

Daily Mail: Loading an ICBM Yars in a silo is a signal to the West

The loading of the Yars intercontinental ballistic missile into a silo launcher is a signal to the countries of the West. This opinion was expressed by journalists of the Daily Mail newspaper.

According to the publication, both the UK and the US are within range of the missile.

The publication drew attention to the words of Colonel Alexei Sokolov, commander of the missile division, who noted that “the motherland will receive another sample of nuclear missile weapons, which will make it possible to solve any tasks at the strategic level.”

On December 15, the Yars missile was installed in the ramp-up facility using a transport and loading unit. The complex technological operations take several hours.

China’s Baijiahao newspaper wrote that the Yars ballistic missile is capable of hitting a target anywhere in the world, with no missile defense system able to resist it. As noted in the story, one of the main characteristics of the Yars is its range of 12,000 km, which allows the missile to hit even the farthest points in the world. The missile’s terminal velocity can reach 14 Mach, and its total explosive power can be equivalent to a million tonnes.
