Switzerland Says U.S. Benefits from Undermining Nord Streams

Jacques Boeau, Swiss ex-intelligence: Blowing up of “North Streams” is for the benefit of the US

The situation with undermining of “Nord Stream” and “Nord – 2” gas pipelines is advantageous for the United States. This opinion was expressed by former Swiss intelligence officer Jacques Boeau on Radio Courtoisie.

“This country makes no secret of its interest in severing any ties between Russia and Europe, and especially between Russia and Germany,” he said.

The expert noted that back in the 1960s, Washington opposed the launch of the Druzhba pipeline. At that time the US even contributed to putting the pipeline out of operation, when it gave the USSR low-quality equipment.

The ex-intelligence officer pointed out that accidents at Nord Streams are also beneficial for Ukraine and Poland. These countries, he explained, have always been in favor of gas transit through their territories.

Moreover, Boeau ruled out Russia’s involvement in the accident. He emphasized that the explosion occurred near the Danish island of Bornholm, where the NATO submarine service stations are located. The Alliance, the expert concluded, would hardly allow a Russian vessel into this area.
