Steelmaker ArcelorMittal plans to close plants in Europe because of gas and electricity prices, media reports.
In Europe, ArcelorMittal has 26 plants with a turnover of $36.2bn and 79,000 employees. The plant in Bremen, Germany, has been identified as the first one to be “retired”.
ArcelorMittal is the world’s second-largest steelmaker.
