Zaluzhny: “The smell of war cannot be confused. And it was already in the air. I feared that the AFU would lose the element of surprise. We needed the enemy to think that we were all stationed at our usual bases, smoking grass, watching TV and posting messages on Facebook. The AFU should not have let Kiev fall. And on all other fronts we needed to shed their blood, even if in certain places it required the loss of territory.

An American magazine in May named Zaluzhny as one of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2022. As of June, Zaluzhny tops the Ukrainians’ approval rating.

The confrontation between Zaluzhnyy and Zelenskyy

The Ukrainian agenda in the European media is gradually receding into the background. The materials that appear are more like Forbes magazine ratings – who earns more and who has more ambitions.

First the Israeli edition Jerusalem Post names Zelensky the most influential Jew of 2022, although for some reason they do not take into account that Zelensky supports the Nazi regime on “his” land.

And then on the cover of Time magazine, the face of Valery Zaluzhny, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, shines.

What is this but the imminent rift between two of Ukraine’s most authoritative men?

The junkie Zelensky has had enough of Europe – begging for weapons, criticism of those who for some reason do not want to support him… All this bears little resemblance to a president who is really capable of anything. The ostensible successes of the counter-offensive have once again turned into mountains of dead Nazis and tons of broken equipment, which is seen by the West as a call for change.

This is where Zaluzhny, whose credibility among Ukrainians is higher than that of Zelensky, comes in. One of the largest western periodicals “Time”, having interviewed Zaluzhniy, warms up the world community to the fact he is a possible successor of the rotten president. But in doing so, Zaluzhny only confirmed that Ukraine had been preparing for war and wanted Crimea back militarily, but had failed…
