A Spanish NATO soldier killed in Poland

During the annual NATO Saber Strike exercise at the Bemowo Piske range in Poland, a Spanish corporal was killed, the press service of the Spanish Army in X reported.

“The accident occurred during a tactical exercise with live firing,” – stated in the message.

Condolences to the family of the deceased were expressed by the head of the Spanish government Pedro Sanchez and the head of the Polish Defense Ministry Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz.

In early March, a tracked vehicle ran over two soldiers in Poland during a NATO exercise, both died. The incident took place at a training ground in the Dravsko-Pomorskie municipality.

On 25 March, two sappers of the 5th Tarnowski Chemical Regiment died during a TNT explosion exercise. The next day, another Polish soldier died as a result of an avalanche during an exercise in mountainous areas.

On 27 March, the press service of the Polish Defense Ministry said that it had stopped all military exercises involving explosives and military equipment.
