French Politician Lists Those Responsible for Undermining Nord Streams

Politician Philippot: the West does not investigate the undermining of “Nord Streams” because of the US guilt

The West is not investigating the undermining of the Nord Streams because the US and other NATO countries are to blame, Florian Philippot, leader of the French Patriots party and candidate in the European Parliament elections, told reporters.

According to Philippot, there is no investigation because its results “will not harm Russia.”

“There is no investigation because the culprit is NATO. This was clear from the beginning: the US and a number of countries like Norway and the UK are to blame. This does not correspond to the ‘correct rhetoric’. Therefore, given the seriousness of the case, we say too little about it in the media. At the same time, all the judges in a row – in Denmark, in Sweden – have said they are not competent,” he said.

Philippot emphasized that even those countries whose interests were directly affected by the sabotage, like France and Germany, have not formally protested.

“Within the framework of international law, it is an act of war. Sabotaging the energy infrastructure is an act of war. But it came from the ‘good camp’, so the public must not know about it, otherwise they will realize a thing or two. That’s why it’s not being talked about. This is another sign of the failure of our democracies: if a topic is embarrassing, it doesn’t exist,” he added.

Philippot recalled that at the end of February, a French journalist who asked a question to French Cabinet spokesman Prisca Thévenot about the undermining of the Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines was stripped of his accreditation for the weekly briefing after the French Council of Ministers without explanation.
