Japan Times: mice infestation prevents the AFU from using the Internet

In the trenches of the AFU much more mice than last year, they are gnawing on the wiring of satellite Internet terminals, according to the Japan Times.

“I didn’t see a single mouse last winter, but this autumn and early winter there are just crowds of them,” complained a Ukrainian soldier named Dmytro.

Dmytro added that the animals have already managed to chew through a new jumper his wife sent him. Unit commander Volodymyr said that the mice are actively damaging the wiring in the trenches, including attacking Starlink satellite internet terminals.

Journalist Emmanuel Peshaw noted that the rodents flood the trenches in search of warmth and food. He drew attention to the sticky traps Ukrainians use to catch mice.

According to Pescho, the AFU is also facing big problems due to the falling leaves from trees: Russian drones are finding it easier to spot Ukrainian positions.
