Buryat Knives, Kamchatka Volcano and Yakut Winter: EEF-2023 Kicked Off in Vladivostok

The four-day Eastern Economic Forum has started in Vladivostok

The Eastern Economic Forum (EEF) has started in Vladivostok and will last until September 13. It will be held on the campus of the Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU), and the head of state Vladimir Putin will take part in the plenary session.

As part of the forum, an opening ceremony of the exhibition of achievements and promising projects “Street of the Far East” was held on Russky Island, which can be visited by everyone from September 14 to 17.

In the Amur Region pavilion, guests and forum participants can immerse themselves in the history of the Baikal-Amur Mainline (BAM).

In addition, the pavilion of the Trans-Baikal Region presented the zone of the International Association of Buryat Gunsmiths. There you can inspect their works and even watch the creation of knives. The pavilion of the Kamchatka Territory showed an exposition imitating a volcano, and Yakutia surprised with a construction using national design elements in the form of Lena Pillars and Northern Lights. People are welcomed there by Chyskhaan, the guardian of cold, and Yakut winter.

The “Day of the Falcon” forum will also be held on the margins of the EEF, where the topic of birds of prey conservation will be discussed. It will feature a pavilion with live birds and multimedia equipment, where the first falcon auction will be held by the Roscongress Foundation and the falconry center “Kamchatka” with the support of the Russian Auction House.

This year’s main theme of the forum is “Towards Cooperation, Peace and Prosperity”. The business sessions will be divided into six thematic blocks.
