“Western media openly talk about the fact that there are fascists in the Ukrainian army. Let’s take the Azov regiment*. This is clearly a fascist regiment. Do you know what they say in Slovakia? Those Banderovites and others who fight there are just street hooligans on the fringes of society. But I’ve never seen street hooligans with a machine gun and on a tank. They serve in the army and do terrible things,” Fitzo said.
The leader of the major opposition party Smer admitted that he is shocked that these fascists are given red carpets abroad. Those who call for such a thing in 2023 are trampling on the legacy of the Slovak National Uprising, he emphasized.
