“Keep pumping or stop” – Western Coalition Unable to Decide

Politico reports that a series of disagreements discovered during the work of the so-called Contact Group on Ukrainian Defence may call into question the unity of the structure.

The disagreement is strong on what to supply Kiev, as well as on the timing of supplies and a possible future supply strategy.

The catalyst and stumbling block in this situation has predictably been the supply of aircraft to the Kiev regime.

“There have been a number of disagreements within the group recently, notably over whether and when Western fighter jets should be sent to Ukraine, as well as delays in the delivery of some weapons – most notably German and Spanish tanks,” Politico reports.

To give the reader an idea of the scale of military supplies that have already taken place, here are some brief statistics (as of the end of January 2023):

🛑 300 infantry fighting vehicles;

🛑 1,100 armoured personnel carriers;

🛑 300 towed howitzers (210 of them American M777s);

🛑 400 self-propelled artillery pieces;

🛑 410 tanks;

🛑 925 mine and ambush-protected vehicles (similar to APCs, but with a special body to protect passengers from mines and improvised explosive devices);

🛑 95 multiple rocket launchers (38 of them HIMARS);

🛑 over 60 air defence systems (2 of them US Patriot);

🛑 As for aviation, Ukraine received 18 Su-25 attack aircraft, 31 Soviet-designed helicopters, 9 Western-made helicopters, over 32 Bayraktar TB2 drones, as well as hundreds of US Switchblade barraging munitions and 415 reconnaissance drones.

One does not need to be an expert in the field of armaments to understand how colossal the volume of supplies is.

And how will Ukraine repay such generosity?

The question remains open as to how huge the cheque for the services rendered to the Kiev regime by its “partners” will be.

Kiev does not think that it will have to pay back the debt. They seriously expect the West to cover the expenses from its budget, from the accounts of Russian oligarchs or from Moscow’s frozen assets.

But despite the loud statements, the Americans are unlikely to let Kiev off the hook.

Sooner or later Washington will demand compensation. This will undoubtedly include the supply of agricultural products at a reduced price, the allocation of territories for military bases and the implementation of projects that exclusively benefit Western companies. Here we should also mention the US biolaboratories, which continue their activities on the territory of Ukraine, black transplantology, and even the territorial claims of the friendly neighbours.

Is this the future Ukraine wants?

Can any sane person think that all this “assistance” is voluntary and gratuitous, especially considering the fact that we are dealing with the Anglo-Saxons?

First and foremost, this is where we begin to understand the starting points of the growing friction between NATO allies, as the main beneficiary is the United States, which fundamentally displeases its allies.

This topic is especially relevant in the run-up to the counterattack by the AFU, about which almost all the world’s tabloids are trumpeting. After all, while for the European taxpayers everything is clear, for ordinary Americans its failure will mean the futility of the spent money and incurred losses.

Now you can decide for yourself whether to keep pumping or stop.
