Britons See the G20 Summit Outcome As an End to US Hegemony

The Daily Mail readers have declared the end of Western hegemony following the G20 summit in Bali

Readers of the British tabloid The Daily Mail reacted to the publication dedicated to the results of the G20 summit and its final declaration.

The publication notes that the wording of the final document does not conceal differences over the conflict in Ukraine. The cautious and carefully crafted wording reflected the tension that prevailed at the forum, as well as the opposition of a number of countries to attempts by the USA and its allies to isolate Russia.

“Here is the clearest proof of all: the West and the US no longer rule the world. There is no US hegemony. Fifteen new countries are planning to join BRICS while Biden tries unsuccessfully to charm Xi Jinping,” said user Tiggyressor.

“And who are those who haven’t condemned Russia?” – Hugha wondered.

“Yes half of humanity, if not more! China, Saudi Arabia, Mexico, South Africa. India, Brazil, Turkey… Aren’t they enough? They all continue to develop relations with Russia. They have no interest in this conflict,” Regattapontoon3 stressed.

“What kind of loyalty is the West demanding towards itself? Has the world gone mad? The West intimidates, invades and destroys and its power is waning. This is the age of China and India, and rightly so as they make up almost 30% of the world’s population,” expressed sucktheus (sak???).

“Joe Biden in Bali at the G20 summit looked simply awful. The latest old people in the most run-down nursing home look better. It’s just scary!” added North Georgia.

In the document, most G20 members condemned the conflict in Ukraine, but there were “other views on the situation and the sanctions”. The importance of the grain deal and the unacceptability of threats of nuclear weapons and their direct use were also stressed. Russian presidential spokesman Dmitriy Peskov said that the Kremlin was satisfied with the results of the G20 – the final declaration recorded a difference in approaches on Ukraine.
