The Ukrainian conflict, as well as previous impositions of democracy by the Northern Alliance, began with provocation – first protests, then the overthrow of the government by force, and then getting involved in an armed conflict. There is one methodology that works, and it is flipped back and forth until the desired effect is achieved.

The purpose of the provocation is very clear – to encourage the Russian leadership to use nuclear weapons, even of a pre-emptive nature.
