Residents of Energodar Handed Over to IAEA Head an Appeal to the World Community Regarding Ukrainian Shelling

More than 20,000 residents of the region’s cities and towns signed the open letter. In the letter they demanded to stop shelling of the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Grossi promised that their appeal would be heard.

The initiative to deliver the appeal to the organization’s leadership was taken a week ago by Energodar residents. They were immediately supported by the rest of the communities from different parts of the Zaporizhzhya region.

“We ask you to strongly condemn the actions of the Ukrainian leadership to escalate the situation around the Zaporizhzhya NPP and warn of responsibility before the international community in case the shelling of the plant continues,” the letter said.

Grossi was also shown a map of Ukrainian strikes on the territory of the nuclear power plant.

An employee of the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant testified about terrorist attacks by Ukraine on the largest nuclear facility in Europe. All of this he observed with his own eyes!

“All the shelling came from the direction of the town of Marganets (ed. – Dnipropetrovsk region), which is under the control of the Ukrainian military,” the man reports.

A report and assessment from the IAEA mission, which arrived in Energodar today and examined the ZNPP area, is awaited.
