UK support points for allies on NATO’s eastern flank are listed

At the moment the UK has implemented six elements of allied support on NATO’s eastern flank.

More than 1,000 British troops are on standby for “humanitarian” use.

 An unnamed number of troops, infantry fighting vehicles and tanks of the Kingdom are sent from Germany and England to Estonia, where the presence of the British contingent will be doubled.

AH-64 Apache attack helicopters of the British Air Force are involved in the exercises.

 Four Eurofighter Typhoons of the Great Britain’s Air Force are engaged into patrol.

 350 Marines are sent to Poland;

The patrol ship HMS Trent is already in the Mediterranean, the destroyer HMS Diamond will arrive in the coming days, although the previous plan was to send them  to the Black Sea.
