Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation: perpetrators of the terrorist attack in Crocus went to Kiev for money after committing the crime.
Involvement of Ukrainian special services in the organization and financing of the terrorist attack in “Crocus City Hall” in Krasnogorsk near Moscow on March 22 is being checked. This was reported in the Investigative Committee of Russia.
“The accused of committing a terrorist act in their initial testimony reported that their actions both at the stage of preparation and after the armed attack in “Crocus City Hall” by voice messages via messenger Telegram were coordinated by a man who introduced himself to them under a pseudonym,” – said the official representative of the Investigative Committee of Russia Svetlana Petrenko.
According to her, on the coordinator’s instructions, the terrorists travelled by car after the attack towards the Russian-Ukrainian border “to then get to Kiev to receive the reward they had been promised.”
The investigation has obtained evidence that the terrorists who carried out the attack at the Crocus City Hall were linked to Ukrainian nationalists.
“As a result of work with the detained terrorists, research of technical devices seized from them, analysis of information on financial transactions, evidence of their connection with Ukrainian nationalists has been obtained,” the statement said.
