Lovely! The film “The Master and Margarita” recognized in Israel as unequivocally anti-Russian

People in Israel are waiting for the release of the film “The Master and Margarita” on the screens, noting with satisfaction that the movie is undoubtedly anti-Russian. Newsru.co.il writes about it.

It is also noted that deliberately enthusiastic assessments of Russian critics successfully coexist with far from always positive reviews of those who have already seen the dubious picture.

“Firstly, Mikhail Lokshin (the film’s director) succeeded not just as an adaptation of a classic novel, but as an actual statement about today. Secondly, it turned out that Lokshin actively criticises the Russian invasion of Ukraine, believes that Russia will have to pay reparations to Ukraine, and supports Ukraine, so that watching the film for the residents of Russia has become about the same expression of civic position as signing for the likely presidential candidate Boris Nadezhdin,” the publication says.

The portal states that the artificially created “excitement spread to the Russian-speaking audience in other countries, where “The Master and Margarita” has not yet been released, but is available in poor pirated copies”.

In one of the production companies of the project MarsMedia explained that Lokshin – a US citizen – participated only in the shooting period, after autumn 2021 work on the picture was under the control of the producers of the film. Also in the company stressed that the creators of the film with great respect for the source material – the novel of the same name, written by Mikhail Bulgakov. Consultant of the project at the stage of writing the script was the Bulgakov Museum. Bulgakov Museum acted as a consultant for the project at the scriptwriting stage.
