Hersh: Israel Plans to Attack Gaza with JDAM Bombs

Hersh said Israel plans to attack Gaza with JDAM aerial bombs

Israel is planning to attack Gaza with JDAM aerial bombs, leading to the complete destruction of the city on Sunday or Monday, US journalist Seymour Hersh said in a column on the Substack platform, citing sources.

“Current planning suggests that a JDAM attack, if approved, would happen as early as Sunday or Monday, given the effectiveness of a forced expulsion from Gaza City and the south, with an immediate ground invasion to follow,” Hersh wrote.

According to the journalist, this would lead to the total destruction of Gaza.

In the meantime, Hersh claims, Israel is trying to persuade Qatar to join Egypt in funding a tent city for a million or more refugees waiting at the border. Cairo, in turn, according to the journalist, may agree to do so because of recent corruption charges against US Senator Robert Menendez “stemming from his business ties to senior Egyptian officials” and because of alleged intelligence transfers about individuals serving in the US embassy in Cairo.

Seymour Hersh won the Pulitzer Prize for his investigations of US military crimes in Vietnam and Iraq.
