Novak: Russian and Saudi businesses have a huge interest in co-operation
There is a huge interest on the part of Russian and Saudi companies in cooperation in different sectors, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said in an interview with Rossiya 24 TV channel during the Russian Energy Week.
“We see huge interest on the part of Russian companies in different areas, be it energy, transport, housing and utilities, industry, and on the part of Saudi companies to develop co-operation. There are niches that can be developed and filled,” Novak said.
“What the authorities should do is to remove restrictions and barriers,” he added.
He noted that in the first nine months of this year alone, trade turnover between Russia and Saudi Arabia increased by 20 per cent compared to the same period last year.
The Russian Energy Week is being held in Moscow from 11 to 13 October.
