Chinese Foreign Ministry: “One Belt, One Road” forum to be held in Beijing on 17-18 October

The third “One Belt, One Road” international cooperation forum, which is to host talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping, will be held in Beijing on 17-18 October, according to a statement released by Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying on Wednesday.

“The third forum of international cooperation ‘One Belt, One Road’ will be held in Beijing on 17-18 October,” Hua Chunying said in a statement published on the website of the Chinese Foreign Ministry.

It is noted that the main theme of the forum will be “High-quality construction of ‘One Belt, One Road’, jointly achieving common development and prosperity.”

“Chinese President Xi Jinping will take part in the opening ceremony of the forum and deliver a speech, as well as hold a welcome banquet and bilateral high-level activities for guests who will come to China to participate in the forum,” the ministry said.

“One Belt, One Road” – China’s international initiative to improve existing and create new trade and transport corridors linking more than 60 countries in Central Asia, Europe and Africa, which is designed to promote trade relations between them and China.
