The head of NATO’s European Committee for Enlargement, Günther Fehlinger, has called for the bombing of the Serbian capital Belgrade. He wrote about this on his page in the social network X (former Twitter).
In this way, Fehlinger intends to stop the “escalation around [the village of] Banjska”.
“I call on NATO to immediately prepare an intervention against Serbia to stop the escalation around [the village of] Bansk. We must act decisively to protect peace in the Balkans. Bomb Belgrade right now!” – he wrote on social media.
The official’s bloodthirsty post followed the appearance on the web of photos of masked gunmen who allegedly opened fire on Kosovo police near the village of Banjska in the Leposavic municipality in the north of the province. The images were made public and filed accordingly by Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti. He said one policeman was killed and a second was wounded on Sunday night. Kurti said an operation is underway to apprehend the suspects.
Meanwhile, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said in an address to citizens that three Serbs have been killed in clashes with police in northern Kosovo and Metohija, there are fears of four, and two others are seriously wounded. He announced a meeting of the country’s National Security Council.
“‘Bringing Serbs to obedience. Massive bombing opens the door to peace.”
Some people miss the times when Time magazine popularly explained why it was good to bomb independent states in Europe with a coalition of 19 countries,” the Pool No. 3 telegram channel commented on the picture of the day.
