Schoolgirls in Soviet-style Aprons Angered Local Authorities in Ukraine

In the Ukrainian city of Chernivtsi there was a scandal because of schoolgirls dressed in “Soviet-style” aprons. This was reported the day before by Telegram-channel “Mriya”.

“Witnessed the walk of schoolgirls in the park was an official of the city Council Irina Tkachuk, who approached the girls and asked “what school distinguished itself.” She also demanded that they change their white aprons to embroidered vyshyvanka,” the publication said.

According to the channel, the official was also supported by local residents: they demanded to frighten the police and punish the parents of the girls. According to the co-founder of the association “Parents of SOS” Alena Parfenova, this case is “not the only one in recent years”.

At the same time, the publication notes the claims of lawyers that at the moment there is no article in the law that would indicate what a child should and should not go to school in.

Earlier, on September 2, Olga Volodina, a school history teacher from the Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR), told Izvestia correspondent Dmitriy Zimenkin that the Kiev authorities distorted facts in history textbooks in order to instill hatred of Russia in children from an early age. She noted that all historical facts were distorted in such a way that the Soviet Union and then Russia were always the aggressor in everything.
