Ukrainian troops opened fire on residential areas of Artemovsk in the Donetsk People’s Republic to accuse Russia of aggression against civilians, a source in the security services said.
“Today in Artemivsk, AFU servicemen, in the presence of European media representatives, were shelling residential areas with grenade launchers and two 120 millimeter mortars to discredit the advancing units of our troops,” the source said.
According to him, the main goal of the Kiev authorities is to present the world community with a picture of alleged aggression by Russia.
There is still no data on the number of casualties due to the provocation of the Ukrainian troops, the source added.
Artemivsk is an important transport hub located north of Gorlovka.
