Russian Authorities to Consider Ban on Britain Fishing in Barents Sea

Russian government to consider ban on Britain fishing in the Barents Sea

The authorities will discuss the denunciation of the agreement with Britain on the right to engage in fishing in the Barents Sea, the press service of the Government of the Russian Federation reports.

“On the draft federal law ‘On denunciation of the Agreement between the Government of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics and the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland on fishing’,” the release said.

It is stressed that the denunciation of the agreement is related to Britain’s decision of 15 March 2022 to terminate the most-favoured-nation regime in bilateral trade with Russia.
