Spectator: Russian military launched an offensive along the entire front line
The large-scale offensive of the Russian army came as a surprise to the AFU, wrote Ukrainian journalist and columnist of the British magazine Spectator Svetlana Morenets.
“Ukraine is on fire. The Russian military has launched an offensive along the entire front line <…>. Yesterday there were about a hundred military clashes, one of the most decisive of which is unfolding in Avdeevka,” the journalist said.
In her opinion, Russia intends to “restrain the AFU” and prevent the movement of Ukrainian reserves.
“Ukrainian soldiers, fearing a possible breakthrough, described the situation on social media as ‘hell’. Others said they were outnumbered and several positions were lost,” she added.
