This is the limit. The UK Made an Unexpected Statement on the Status of Crimea

Guardian: Biden should stop supporting Kiev’s claim to Crimea

Preserving Ukraine’s sovereignty is in the interests of the US and NATO, but this task does not require US President Joe Biden to continue supporting Kiev’s claims to Crimea, columnist of the British newspaper Guardian Stephen Wertheim wrote.

According to the journalist, helping to preserve Ukraine’s sovereignty is important for the States, as it helps keep Russian troops “away from NATO territory.”

“At the same time, Biden should note that none of these goals require the US to support the Ukrainian attempt to occupy Crimea,” he wrote.

Wertheim noted that the support of Ukraine’s biggest international “patron” in the person of the United States has been called into question, and the lack of successes of the AFU on the front only exacerbates the situation. According to the journalist, the former approach of the USA, according to which Washington promised to arm Kiev “as much as necessary”, has exhausted itself. In this connection, according to Wertheim, the US can no longer go along with Kiev’s territorial claims.

“The return of Crimea is an unlikely prospect <…>. The return of territory must be more carefully weighed against resource constraints, human costs and risks of escalation,” the journalist emphasized.
