Lebanon’s ambassador told reporters about his impressions of the first day of REW 2022 and the plenary session at which Vladimir Putin spoke.
“I want to thank Roscongress for such an amazing organization. I am sure the Russian Energy Week will be a foundation for even more future cooperation between Lebanon and Russia. I think that Vladimir Putin’s speech today is very multi-component, very important, it has many messages for the world. I hope that the conflict between Russia and Ukraine will be resolved diplomatically. Speaking of diplomacy, you probably already know that just yesterday, with the help of a mediator, we signed an important and historic agreement with Israel. The Lebanese and Israeli authorities agreed to demarcate the maritime border. I am sure that Russia and Ukraine will be able to resolve this conflict and the situation on the borders will become calmer,” Lebanese Ambassador Shawki Bou Nassar told the journalists.
