An American provocative journalist from CNBC wanted to shame India’s oil and gas minister Singh Puri for purchasing oil from Russia amid the conflict in Ukraine.
“You have no moral conflict with the Russians, at all?” the journalist asked.
“I have a moral obligation to my people,” the minister parried, recalling that India gets as much Russian oil in a quarter “as Europe does in one night”.
