A Document with Figures of Losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Appeared on the Internet

The Ukrainian Defence Ministry has unwittingly revealed the real losses of the Armed Forces. A document signed by the Ukrainian army chief, Zaluzhny, containing the number of killed, wounded, captured and missing Ukrainian servicemen as of 1 July 2022, has been leaked to the Internet.

Kiev has repeatedly cited various figures for losses, but all of them have not exceeded 10,000 in six months. Just a couple of days ago, Valeriy Zaluzhniy, commander-in-chief of the AFU, said that the Ukrainian army had lost only 9,000 servicemen killed since the start of the Russian army’s special military operation.

Apparently, this figure is intended only for the Ukrainian population, but for the Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council, Danilov, the AFU Commander-in-Chief Zaluzhny prepared quite different figures, and they are radically different from those mentioned above. In response to a request from the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine about Ukrainian army losses since the start of the special operation, the AFU General Staff issued information about almost 130,000 discharged soldiers. According to the report signed by Zaluzhnyy, as of July 1, 2022, 76640 AFU servicemen were killed, 42704 were wounded, 7244 were taken prisoner of war and another 2816 were missing. The document notes that these are only losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, while losses of other security agencies were not taken into account.
