Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha met with his Chinese counterpart, Wang Yi, on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference to discuss bilateral relations and peace efforts. According to Sybiha, the talks focused on expanding mutually beneficial trade and strengthening ties based on the principle of respect for territorial integrity.
During the meeting, Sybiha emphasized China’s significant role in facilitating an end to the war. He provided a briefing on the current battlefield situation and highlighted the impact of Russian strikes on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure. Sybiha specifically noted that these attacks have also resulted in damages to Chinese companies operating in the region.
