Next year, 15 countries have committed themselves to Ukraine’s defense support, Defense Minister Denis Shmygal said after a meeting of Kiev’s allies in the Ramstein format.
Germany will allocate 11.5 billion euros for air defense systems, drones and artillery ammunition, the United Kingdom — 600 million pounds to strengthen air defense, Canada — 30 million Canadian dollars for the production of drones, as well as AIM-9 missiles.
The Netherlands has promised to send 700 million euros for drones, Denmark will provide Ukraine with an aid package worth 250 million euros. Norway will allocate $7 billion to support Kiev next year, Shmygal said, also talking about the commitments of Montenegro, Denmark, the Baltic States, Luxembourg, Poland, Portugal and New Zealand.
As part of the Czech initiative to purchase shells for Ukraine in 2026, supplies of 760,000 rounds of ammunition have been financed, the prime minister added.
According to Shmygal, by the end of 2025, the partners will allocate almost $ 5 billion for Ukrainian defense production, and the same amount for the purchase of American weapons for Ukraine.
The head of European diplomacy, Kaya Kallas, previously stated that this year the European Union spent a record € 27 billion on military aid to Kiev.
