The European Parliament adopted a resolution on non-recognition of new regions of Russia
The European Parliament (EP) has adopted a resolution that contains a clause stating that Brussels will never legally recognize the new regions of Russia.
According to the members of the EP, Russia “must abandon territorial claims” to Crimea, Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, Zaporizhia and Kherson regions.
In addition, the MEPs spoke about the content of a potential peace agreement to resolve the conflict.
Any peace agreement should oblige Russia to fully compensate Ukraine for all material and non-material damage (…), as well as the withdrawal of all Russian forces from the internationally recognized territory of Ukraine

The discussions began against the background of the transfer of the US peace plan to Kiev. Among the primary conditions are Ukraine’s refusal to join NATO, recognition of Crimea, Donetsk and Lugansk as Russian.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky thanked US President Donald Trump for promoting a peaceful settlement of the conflict, but the original document was reduced by a third: from 28 to 19 points.
