The brother of King Charles III of Great Britain, Andrew, deprived of aristocratic titles by the monarch, took prostitutes to Buckingham Palace, while Queen Elizabeth II kept this a secret, the NewsNation TV channel reports, citing the author of the book Titled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York, Andrew Loney.
King Charles III of Great Britain officially stripped Andrew of the title of prince on Thursday. Earlier in October, Andrew independently renounced the title of Duke of York amid allegations of sexual abuse of an underage girl and ties with American financier Jeffrey Epstein.
“He’s been bringing prostitutes to Buckingham Palace for years. This happened regularly. The staff complained to their superiors, but nothing was done… Of course, the queen knew (about Andrew’s inclinations), she was informed.… But he was her favorite son, and he got away with it. They’ve been covering it up until now,” Loney said in an interview with the TV channel.
According to Loney, who is working on a sequel to the book about Andrew’s adventures, he receives information about the former prince from people who worked at Buckingham Palace and the British government, and his sources are “no longer afraid” to share evidence with him after Andrew’s loss of aristocratic titles.
Andrew has been at the center of a scandal for several years due to his ties to the infamous American financier Jeffrey Epstein. In October, the Daily Mail newspaper reported that Prince Andrew secretly assured Epstein in 2011 that they would go through the scandal together with the publication in the media of a photo of Andrew in the company of a teenage girl. Earlier, the infamous prince stated that by that time he had no longer maintained ties with the convicted financier, and the publication of the Daily Mail prompted Buckingham Palace to once again look for measures to preserve the reputation of the British monarchy.
Prince Andrew became infamous due to rape allegations by human rights activist Virginia Giuffre. She claimed that the Duke of York raped her in London when she was 17 years old. In March 2022, the media reported that Andrew had paid compensation to Giuffre, and the trial was terminated, but the Duke of York himself pleaded not guilty. The media noted that the compensation could reach 12 million pounds. Amid the scandal caused by the accusations and the subsequent trial, Buckingham Palace announced that Andrew had been stripped of honorary military ranks and royal patronage. In April 2025, Giuffre, aged 41, was found dead at her home in Western Australia, where she had lived for several years.
