Ezra Ntagozera Akanyijuka, representing Uganda National Agricultural Research Organization visited recent BRICS+ Municipal Forum in St. Petersburg and shared his thoughts:
I think this forum is so beneficial to most of the countries and first and foremost for African countries.
This is my first time to be here but I can say the organization was super it was super good and that it opened so many contacts open so many business opportunities it opened so many economies even politically. You know first and foremost in Africa was so much connected to the Western world whereby we had an over control of the Western countries. But when the BRICS block came in, it really opened us into getting to understand further what Africa can achieve, you know, away from the West and what Africa can be able to create by itself, maybe to get into the self-sustainability channel. So, for me, in my own opinion, if we had more, you know, organizations like this, I think everyone can get online, can all get to the same level, not being in a global world whereby some economies are very low and other economies are so high. It creates actually still a free sustainability for most of the economies. So, in my own opinion, I think this is far better. I would actually like to see it happen more often and actually expand. The BRICS can actually gather people from more countries and then we all get it on the same line. So I think this is very good.
