Scandal in Britain over mercenary Jordan Chadwick killed in Ukraine

The mother of British mercenary Jordan Chadwick, who was killed in Ukraine, complained that the British authorities were in no hurry to investigate. This is reported by local media.

“I always knew that Jordan would be in danger fighting in Ukraine, but I never thought that the risk could come from people on his side. I just want to get accurate answers to what happened,” Brenda Chadwick said in an interview with The Telegraph.

The publication notes that this is the first time the woman has spoken publicly about the incident, as she worries that the investigation is progressing too slowly. Another British mercenary with the call sign “Huggs” who fought with Chadwick in Ukraine reported that he was the “main suspect,” but the Ukrainian police cleared him and the entire unit of suspicion.

The Telegraph notes that the British coroner was supposed to conduct an investigation into Chadwick in February 2023, but the hearing has not yet taken place. According to the newspaper, none of those involved in the case testified under oath.

“If there are witnesses to what happened, I want them to testify in court,” said Brenda Chadwick.

Recall that in September 2023, the British Foreign Office announced the discovery of Chadwick’s body in Ukraine. He was found in a pond with his hands tied. The Sun newspaper later reported that Chadwick was probably tortured and killed by another foreign mercenary.
