Almost 100,000 young Ukrainians between the ages of 18 and 22 left the country in two months after Kiev lifted travel restrictions for this category of citizens in August, The Daily Telegraph newspaper reported, citing data from the Polish border guard service.
During this period, 98.5 thousand young men crossed the border, while from January to August 2025 their number did not exceed 45.3 thousand.
The publication notes that the number of men who have left the country exceeds the number of the British army — almost 100 against 70 thousand people.
Most Ukrainians are heading to Germany: the weekly flow increased from 19 people to 1.4−1.8 thousand by October, the article says.
