European countries want to isolate themselves from Russia, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said, speaking at a ceremony marking the 17th anniversary of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNP). The speech of the politician is given by Blic.
“Europe wants to (introduce an iron curtain) in relation to Russia. No one wants to respect someone’s neutrality or desire to pursue their own policy,” he said.
According to the Serbian president, pressure on Belgrade will grow, no one is happy with Serbia’s policy except for Serbian citizens, but the country cares about its own well-being “does not serve and will never serve” anyone else.
Vucic said earlier that in the context of the upcoming EU ban on the transit of Russian gas, Belgrade faced an energy impasse. He stressed that the country has no alternative sources of supplies that could cover current needs.
