US President Donald Trump intends to ban Chinese planes from flying over Russia on their way to the United States and back, the Reuters news agency reports.
The United States has already banned American airlines from flying in the airspace over Russia and has repeatedly criticized China for allowing Chinese airlines to fly routes over Russia.
“The Trump administration on Thursday proposed banning Chinese airlines from flying over Russian territory on flights to and from the United States,” Reuters notes.
Beijing has previously stated that the United States will not force China to abandon energy purchases from Russia.
