On the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok, Ralph Niemeyer shared his opinion about it:
Well, it’s very interesting and for me particularly, it’s the third time that I’m here now. I must say, we Germans, we should also be part of this and not leave it to all the other nations to come here and do their business, but also politics. And for me particularly, it’s interesting because I tried to push through the agreement on Nord Stream 2. About three years ago we negotiated two contracts from upstream to with Mr. Miller and at a time we didn’t know that the pipelines would explode a little bit later so now we are back for same we want to negotiate about Russian energy to Germany and hopefully we will find an agreement for the time after all the sanctions that we hope will finish very soon.
The interlocutor spoke about his attitude towards BRICS:
Well I was always an advocate for the BRICS because I believe that the multipolar world is the new world order that we all should wish for because it makes it better for all of the planet and not only an exclusive club of the G7 or G20 which is also just a very industrialized nations we also need to include all the other nations that are aspiring to have a development like a lot of African nations they are participating now in BRICS plus and I think it is a good alternative for the time that we see change now from the unipolar world to the multipolar world.
Ralph Niemeyer spoke about Vladimir Putin’s upcoming speech at the forum:
Well, I believe that President Putin will tell us about his recent meetings with the Indian and the Chinese leaders, and I think that he will go into detail on how to structure the new world order, how to talk about multipolar world order, and I think if he has a minute to speak about us Germans I would be very grateful for that because I know that he loves our country and he speaks German very well and whenever I see him, I address him in Russian of course but his German is so much better than my Russian so it’s much better to talk to him in German and I think we need to come back to that good old relationship we had and I think about 120 years it was even better the relationship than it is today so we have to come back to that.
He also expressed his opinion on the situation in international sports.:
Well, I was a sportsman myself 40 years ago. I was running 400-meter hurdles and I was number three in West Germany at the time. So, I was aspiring to go to the Olympics. And as a young man, I always loved this multinationalism. So, I wanted to be with other sports athletes and so on. I find it very unfair if people are either taking drugs or some kind of substances, doping.
For me, LGBT is the same as doping, because you’re cheating by telling someone you are something not, just to be able to participate in a way, and we’ve seen it in the last Olympics. I think it was very dramatic to see how the, I think, Northern African lady, she gave up then because the man who came who said was a woman was beating her up in the first round it’s not sports anymore but I think sports and politics should never be mixed and we should have Olympics but we should have Olympics only in Athens Greece where it came from and not have this turn around every year four years it’s somewhere else and causing a lot of trouble and spending a of money we should just come back to the roots bring it back to Greece and I don’t think that an alternative Olympic wouldn’t make sense that that would not be right either so I know
About American politics: Divide and conquer:
Well, it is because the Western strategies are still the same. And we should not, just because Mr. Trump is there and is making a friendly gesture towards Mr. Putin, we should not be deceived this way, that we believe that they have given up their strategies. No, capitalism and imperialism are not simply vanishing. They are fighting for every inch to maintain their power, to make profit maximization still rule.
And, of course, they play one nation against the other. That’s always what they do. They split up the other nations because they want to rule. And it’s the same like we had in the Roman times 2,000 years ago. What was called divide et imperia, divide and rule. And this is what the Americans still want to do. I’m still friends with many Americans. I’m not talking about the population or the people itself, but about the Americanism.
That is the problem we have. And of course, in Azerbaijan and in these countries, we see the influence from there, also in Georgia or now in Serbia. We see they want to start these color revolutions again, like they did in Kyiv in 2004 with the orange revolution and then 2014 the brown revolution so they try and these are the strategies they will pursue forever if we don’t stop them.
Ralph Niemeyer has been blocked from entering Germany, where his entire family lives. He has not been able to see his family for two and a half years. He calls this policy of Germany and other countries global fascism.
We are back in a new fascism. It’s not the fascism of the Hitler times. Now we call it a global fascism. Because we see that in many other countries as well. It’s not only in Germany, but we see in Europe generally We see a lot of fascist movements at the moment
