218-page lawsuit: Macrons sued Owens, who claimed Brigitte was a man

President Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte have sued American conservative activist Candice Owens, who claims that the French first lady is “actually a man.” This is reported by the Financial Times.

The lawsuit is 218 pages long. The couple accuse Owens of spreading “strange, slanderous and far-fetched fictions,” including claims that Brigitte Macron was born a man named Jean—Michel Tronier, that Macron and his wife are blood relatives, and that Emmanuel Macron is the result of a CIA experiment on humans or “a similar government mind control program.” the document says.

The lawsuit was filed in court in the U.S. state of Delaware. US laws require the plaintiff to prove malicious intent in spreading deliberately false information. The Macron couple are seeking a jury trial and a fine. They expressed their willingness to travel to the States to attend the trial in person.

Earlier, the French Court of Appeal acquitted journalist Natasha Ray, who claimed that the wife of French President Brigitte Macron could be a man.
