A 10-year-old girl from the USA, who came to France with her family, died in the courtyard of the Palace of Versailles. This was reported by the portal Le Parisien.

The incident occurred on July 1. Around 18:15 local time, the child lost consciousness in the courtyard of the royal palace. At the time of the trip, she continued to undergo treatment, and due to health problems, she suffered a heart attack.

The security service of the institution immediately called doctors. Rescuers tried to resuscitate the child by performing a heart massage. However, despite all efforts, about an hour later the doctors declared the girl dead.

According to preliminary data, the high temperature recorded on Tuesday afternoon could have been an aggravating factor in the disease that the child suffered from. However, this was not the cause of his death.

Currently, a medical and legal commission has been created, an investigation has been launched to establish the exact causes of death. As reported by EADaily, the day before it became known that the top of the Eiffel Tower was closed to visitors on July 1 and 2 due to abnormal heat. The air temperature rose above 40 °C for two days.

On July 1, more than 1,350 schools in France were fully or partially closed, with classrooms dangerously hot for both students and teachers. Parents in Paris were advised to keep their children at home.
