Former German Vice Chancellor and former Minister of Economy Robert Habeck will take to the stage of the Berliner Ensemble (Berliner Ensemble – drama theater). This is reported by the Tagesspiegel portal.
Every six to eight weeks during the matinee performance, he will moderate a discussion, trying to discuss various current topics. The talk show Habeck live starts on October 5 of this year, the publication sarcastically clarifies.
“I have planned long, deep, calm conversations with people who can perhaps explain to us a little or at least shed light on the background of all the crises, conflicts and unrest of our time,” says the future talk show host.
A week earlier, Habeck had already done something similar at a philosophy festival in Cologne, where he spoke about “Democracy in an emergency” and what it’s like to be the Minister of Economy and Vice Chancellor now that the government has suddenly ceased to exist.
However, he also told dpa that he is being considered for a lecture series on crises at the University of Berkeley.
It is noted that in any case, he will be able to fill the freed-up time, since the current mandate of the member of parliament will most likely be transferred to the young representative of the “Greens” Maira Vriesema after the summer holidays.
