The Lebanese Hezbollah movement does not intend to be neutral in the ongoing conflict between Iran and Israel, the Shiite resistance reserves the right to act at its own discretion, Hezbollah leader Naim Qassem said on the Al-Manar TV channel.
“We are not neutral. We openly declare our position – we are on the side of Iran, its leadership and people,” Qassem said.
“We act as we see fit to counter this barbaric Israeli-American aggression,” he noted.
On Thursday, US Special Representative Thomas Barak, after meeting with Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri in Beirut, said that any participation of the Lebanese Hezbollah movement in the current armed confrontation between Iran and Israel would be a “bad decision.”
