Israel no longer considers Britain a reliable partner, which is why it did not officially warn it of its intention to strike Iran, The Times reports, citing a senior source in the British government.
“Obviously, they have concluded that we are an unreliable partner,” the publication quotes the source as saying.
It is noted that the deterioration in relations between the countries was due to Britain’s imposition of sanctions against two Israeli ministers.
According to the publication, Britain is currently discussing whether to close its diplomatic mission in Tehran.
