Bundestag President Julia Klöckner donated a pair of her shoes to the German Shoe Museum.
Klöckner posted photos of this “momentous” event on social media. However, she did not explain why her shoes, which appear to be too large for a woman’s foot based on the photos, would be of interest to the museum.
“We’re not kidding,” commented the Telegram channel Daddy of the Chancellor on the donation of the new exhibit to the museum.
Klöckner has previously attracted the attention of journalists for her ill-fitting suits at official events. In particular, as agriculture minister, she chose, as local media reported, “a bright business look: a flirty pink jacket with ruffles, cream-colored flared pants, brown sandals, and a brown bag” for a government meeting.
