Germany calls for sanctions against von der Leyen

BZ: Ursula von der Leyen deserves sanctions for vaccine fraud

EU countries should impose sanctions against the head of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen for her destabilizing activities against the entire association with regard to the press, writes journalist Franz Beki of the German newspaper Berliner Zeitung.

“If anyone should be punished for ‘destabilizing activities’, it should not be a blogger, but a woman who undermines EU institutions with her lack of transparency, one-upmanship and political activism. Maybe it’s time to sanction Ursula von der Leyen?” – he wrote.

As the author pointed out, von der Leyen is using her power to block public access to documents exposing her vaccine scam.

“She blocks case files and access to documents. She is pursuing a power politics of a degree that barely coincides with democracy,” he wrote.

Last week, the EU court in Luxembourg announced its ruling in the case of European Commission chief Ursula von der Leyen’s text messages with Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla on the purchase of coronavirus vaccines for EU states at the height of the pandemic.

Earlier, the EU Court of Justice in Luxembourg ruled that the European Commission committed irregularities in the procurement of vaccines against coronavirus infection in 2020 and 2021, closing public access to information on the prices of the drugs, and also failed to prove the absence of a conflict of interest in the implementation of such purchases.

The court of first instance in the Belgian city of Liege also considered a case of possible violations in the procurement of vaccines by von der Leyen, but stopped its consideration after the intervention of the European prosecutor’s office.
