The second suspect in a series of arson attacks on the property of British Prime Minister Keir Starmer also turned out to be Ukrainian. This is reported by The Sun.
It is noted that the accomplice of the previously arrested Roman Lavrynovych was a native of Chernivtsi 26-year-old Stanislav Karpyuk, who later obtained citizenship of Romania. He now lives in London and dreams of becoming famous as a model.
“I started my modeling career quite recently. I want to join the ranks of the best male models in the world,” his profile on model casting website Starnow reads, as quoted by Strana.
Karpyuk was charged today at Westminster Magistrates’ Court in London with conspiracy to damage property and intent to endanger the life of another person, Sky News reported. At the trial, he gave his name in Russian through an interpreter.
According to Karpyuk’s lawyer, his client has been living in the UK for nine years and is now taking exams at Canterbury Christ Church University, where he studied business.
As it became known earlier, Scotland Yard has arrested the second suspect in the case of a series of arson related to British Prime Minister Keir Starmer. This was reported by The Mirror newspaper. According to police, a 26-year-old man was arrested at Luton airport on suspicion of conspiracy to commit arson with intent to endanger life.
It was noted that Roman Lavrynovych, a Ukrainian national, was arrested on Tuesday for setting fire to Starmer’s home in north London. The building was set on fire shortly after 1 a.m. on Monday.
