US Secretary of State Rubio was surprised that in the US they want peace and in Europe they want war
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said he heard assessments during a trip to Rome that Europe wants conflict.
“One of the cardinals I met with said, very unusual for us, that an American president wants peace and some Europeans are constantly calling for military affairs, as if the world has turned upside down,” Rubio said at a Kennedy Center board of trustees dinner with U.S. President Donald Trump at the helm.
According to Rubio, Trump wants to ensure that there is no need for big spending on defense, the same money can be invested in economic development.
